Kindness
Kindness as a quality is something I miss.
As a quality, kindness is a slow quality. there are many slow qualities in this world - part of the human experience - that can only be translated and communicated, expressed and received when the gift of time is so generously given. the act of caressing and tenderness. the act of coaxing. all of these are slow actions, and are lost when sped up. those are the bounds of the words. prerequisites if you will. a caress becomes an abrasion.
Iām partial to thinking that kindness is a kind of love. Part of love. And it shows up in places and minds uncontaminated with scale and efficiency, or perhaps, minds that have learnt to look past prioritizing that.
